As a Life Coach, I find myself reflecting deeply on my experiences, examining how they have shaped me and the profound lessons I've learned (and continue to do so).

 

Life has presented its share of adversities. Divorce, the crushing loss of a significant sum of money in a questionable property purchase. The profound grief of losing my thirteen-year-old son to cancer continues to be a lifelong arduous journey I face. I've conquered significant personal challenges, including quitting a twenty a day plus smoking habit and overcoming a forty-year alcohol addiction. I've sought guidance through marriage counselling and utilised medication to navigate periods of depression. Yes, aint none of us perfect.

 

One chapter in my life was as a mortgage and financial advisor, a role I held for fifteen years. Guiding individuals through one of the most financially and emotionally taxing periods of their lives was both challenging and ultimately gratifying. Another chapter involved owning a catering business, specialising in weddings – a time of immense joy and, inevitably, considerable stress for couples. It was a privilege to share in these moments with countless couples. I have sat with many individuals, couples and families over the years dealing with some of their most precious life events. So becoming a Life Coach has become a very natural transition.

 

Amidst my challenges and life experiences, I am blessed with a remarkable wife who provides unwavering support. I am the proud father of my other son pursuing his dreams in the military and a daughter who has blessed me with three beautiful grandchildren. I am fortunate to have a warm home, food in the cupboard. I have gratitude for the simple things in life and excitement for the new challenges ahead. I have the thrilling opportunity to integrate my life experiences, new learning, and renewed purpose into a fulfilling career as a Life Coach.
